On February 27th Grimes’ tour in support of her new album Visions hit the Rhythm Room in Phoenix. Born Gold (formerly known as Gobble Gobble) opened. Born Gold is comprised of fellow Canadians, including Kuhrye-oo (the opener on Purity Ring’s first tour). Their set was insane high-energy electro complete with theatrics and a light show. The lead singer had a light up suit that seemed to respond with sound to his movements. The other two members of the band wore masks and walked around the crowd on stilts playing guitar. …
